Uschi Schmidt
was born in Erfurt and grew up in the Thuringian Forest.
two times winner of the Eobanus Hessus Writing Contest of the city of Erfurt in 2011 and in 2021.
was also awarded the 1st prize in the Literature Contest of the German studies students council of Friedrich Schiller University Jena in 2011.<\/p>\n

has a bachelor's degree in German Studies & English Studies as well as a master's degree in Literature - Art - Culture of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena.
worked as a research assistant from 2015 to 2022 in three research projects at the university.
writing her PhD in German linguistics on political language usage.
worked as a research assistant for digital humanities at Klassik Stiftung Weimar for the Marbach Weimar Wolfenb\u00fcttel Research Association from 2023 until the end of project in 2024.
is in 2024 again employed at the university as research assistant of a third party funded project.\u00a0
